How to get to FormenteraFormentera is a real island, as it does not have an airport and is only accessible by ferry. The island of Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands, which are located in the centre of the western Mediterranean, east of Spain. Formentera and Ibiza are the Pitiusas Islands. Ibiza and Formentera are separated by a small channel, "Es Freus", surrounded by smaller islets. There are regular ferries to Ibiza and the Peninsula. One can take a ferry or fly to Ibiza and, once there, take a boat trip to Formentera. Ibiza Airport has international flights, by various companies, connecting the island to all major European cities. When you get to Ibiza, all that remains is a pleasant journey of 30 minutes (or 1 hour, depending on the type of ferry) to our beloved island. The 30-minute journey costs nearly 20 euros, while the 1-hour journy costs less than 10 euros.
